Pros: As a Logistics Coordinator in the Manila office, my typical daily schedule was pretty consistent outside of peak times. You can usually plan your evenings and weekends if it's not a busy period for freight forwarding. The fixed schedule helps a lot with routine.
Cons: Peak shipping deadlines can really kill your evening plans, that's for sure. During busy seasons, especially with international cargo, overtime is pretty much expected. It's tough to get much flexibility for personal appointments when things get hectic.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage workloads during peak times to prevent burnout. More flexibility for personal appointments, even just occasional, would go a long way.

Pros: The company is a big name in the logistics industry here. You get some solid experience with shipping operations and being in the Manila office means you learn a lot about the local market. It's a stable job, which is a plus.
Cons: Career growth is really slow as a Logistics Coordinator. There aren't many clear paths to move up unless someone leaves. Promotions mostly go to external hires, which is tough for existing operations roles to see.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clearer internal career pathways for employees in operations roles. Invest in training and mentorship for long-term staff before looking externally. It'd boost morale and retention.

Pros: It's a big corporate company so you learn a lot about actual shipping operations and supply chain management. If you're new to logistics roles, it's a solid place to get foundational experience. The team generally works well together.
Cons: Career growth can be really slow, especially for Logistics Coordinator positions. There aren't many clear promotion paths, and you might feel stuck in the same role for a while in the Manila office. Training for advancing your skills isn't very robust.
Advice to Management: Invest more in clear career development plans and provide better access to training for employees wanting to move up within logistics and supply chain roles. A mentorship program would help a lot.
