Decent place, but work-life can be tough
Pros: The hybrid work setup is good; two days WFH helps a lot. For Electrical Engineer roles, the projects are often cutting-edge in the manufacturing industry. The pay and benefits package is also pretty solid.
Cons: Work-life balance here is often a struggle. There's a lot of pressure to meet tight deadlines, especially in the Harrisburg office. It's common to work more than 40 hour weeks, which really eats into personal time.
Advice to Management: Try to set more realistic project timelines. Encourage managers to respect off-hours and push for better resource allocation so teams aren't always stretched thin.

Decent Flexibility for a Big Corporate Company
Pros: I really appreciated the hybrid model for engineering roles. You typically get 2-3 WFH days a week, which helps a lot with personal commitments. It made balancing my life much easier in this industrial technology sector.
Cons: Sometimes, that flexibility depends heavily on your specific manager. Some teams in the Harrisburg, PA office are more rigid about onsite days. There's also pressure to be onsite for certain meetings, even on WFH days, which can be tough.
Advice to Management: Standardize the hybrid model and WFH policies across all departments. Ensure managers empower their teams to actually utilize the available flexibility without guilt.

Decent Flexibility, But Depends on Your Team
Pros: As a Senior Electrical Engineer, I've found pretty good work flexibility after my first year. The hybrid model allows 2 days remote, which is solid for my schedule. It's a perk in a large corporate company like this.
Cons: Some teams have pretty strict onsite requirements, especially for certain electronics manufacturing projects. Getting true remote work options can be tough if your manager isn't on board. The Harrisburg, PA office is definitely still the main focus.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize the hybrid model more across all business units. Don't let manager discretion be the only factor for work-from-home days.
