Decent for a startup, but can be a grind
Pros: The hybrid work model is a huge plus, giving me WFH days. As a Junior Software Engineer, I usually stick to 40-hour weeks, which is decent for the Austin tech scene.
Cons: Sometimes agile sprints get really intense, especially nearing deadlines. It's tough to truly disconnect when you know a big software development project is looming.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage sprint expectations so engineers don't feel constantly pressured. Maybe more defined "no-meeting" blocks.

Hyppies Culture Has Some Growing Pains
Pros: I've worked here as a Junior Software Engineer, and there's a good buzz among the immediate agile teams. People are generally friendly, and we have decent team lunches in the San Francisco office. It's a solid place to learn early on in software development.
Cons: The tech startup environment is cool, but the overall company culture can feel cliquey sometimes. It's hard to connect with folks outside your direct team, especially with our hybrid work model. I wish there were more inclusive all-hands events that made everyone feel part of the bigger picture.
Advice to Management: Focus on initiatives that bridge department gaps. Encourage more cross-functional social events to strengthen the overall company culture beyond individual teams, especially for those utilizing the hybrid work option.

Culture is decent, but could use some work
Pros: The team is pretty friendly. I've met some great people in the Austin office. We do have some fun team events, which is nice for a mid-size startup.
Cons: The culture feels a bit cliquey sometimes. It's tough to break into established groups, especially in our hybrid model. Communication from leadership isn't always clear.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more inclusive events for everyone. Make sure new hires feel welcome and integrated into the team quickly.
