Renewable Energy Analyst

Stable role if you don't mind slow growth
Pros: Job security is pretty solid here. The renewable energy sector is growing, so there's always work. As a Renewable Energy Analyst, I felt secure in my role, especially with the long-term projects we had at the Denver office.
Cons: Career growth isn't great, though. It's tough to move up even within specific technical roles. Management doesn't communicate clear paths for advancement, which can be frustrating for employees looking for the next step.
Advice to Management: Leadership needs to clearly define career paths for technical roles like Renewable Energy Analysts. Communication about internal promotions and opportunities would really help boost morale and retention.

Leadership at Peak Energy is a Mixed Bag
Pros: Some team leads are really supportive, especially for new engineers starting their careers. There's a decent focus on safety protocols in the energy sector, which is crucial for grid infrastructure projects. They do provide opportunities to learn new software and skills for engineering projects.
Cons: Upper management can feel pretty disconnected from day-to-day operations and the engineers doing the work. Decisions on major renewable energy initiatives often take forever, which is frustrating as a Junior Electrical Engineer. It's hard to get clear direction sometimes, especially with the hybrid work setup in the Houston office.
Advice to Management: Leadership needs to be more visible and transparent with their long-term vision. Getting feedback from the project teams directly would really help streamline things. Focus on empowering middle management to make quicker decisions.
