Hybrid Model is Okay, But Fixed Shifts Can Be Tough
Pros: For us in customer service, there's a hybrid model, which is a start. We get a few days remote, which helps with the commute to the Dallas, TX office. It's nice not to be fully onsite every day.
Cons: But true work flexibility is limited in the e-commerce retail space, especially for customer-facing roles. Our shifts are pretty fixed, so it's tough if you need to adjust your schedule often. It's not a 'work from anywhere' kind of place.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more flexible shift options for Customer Service roles. True remote options could also help with retention.

Retail Role, Decent Team, Flexibility Could Be Better
Pros: As a Senior Sales Associate in the Los Angeles showroom, I've met some really good people. The core team is solid. For an onsite retail job, weekday hours are pretty consistent. You know what to expect.
Cons: Work flexibility here isn't great. Required weekend shifts are common in e-commerce retail, making personal planning tough. No remote options either, which is expected for this role, but it limits things.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more predictable weekend schedules or rotating shifts to help with work-life balance for showroom staff.

Leadership needs to listen more, be present
Pros: The team on the ground is great; everyone helps each other out. You learn a lot about e-commerce furniture sales here. There's good exposure to home furnishings trends if you're interested in the product.
Cons: Leadership is pretty disconnected from the daily grind for onsite Sales Associates in the Los Angeles office. Decisions feel top-down and sometimes change without much warning. It's tough when managers don't really get what we face on the floor.
Advice to Management: Try to spend more time with the teams on the ground. Understand the challenges Sales Associates face directly. Listen to feedback instead of just rolling out new policies. Be more visible and engaged with the retail roles.
