Work-life is okay for remote roles
Pros: For a tech company, the work-life balance as a Data Analyst was pretty decent. I mostly kept to 40-hour weeks, which isn't always true in adtech. The remote work setup from Seattle, WA really helped manage my personal time.
Cons: There were definitely periods with tight project deadlines, causing some late nights. Global team meetings could push into the evenings, making it harder to fully log off. It's not a consistent 9-5.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize meeting times to better accommodate all time zones. More upfront planning for big projects would help avoid last-minute crunch.

Solid Culture, Needs Some Fine-Tuning
Pros: The teams are really collaborative here. As a Data Scientist, I felt supported by my peers and it's easy to get help on complex data analytics projects. Plus, the hybrid model in the New York office is pretty flexible, which is a big plus for work-life balance.
Cons: Leadership changes recently have made things a bit confusing, and it feels like there's less clear direction for our AI solutions roadmap. Sometimes, there's just not enough recognition for the hard work, which can feel a bit draining. The company culture here could use more consistent messaging from the top.
Advice to Management: Management needs to get on the same page and communicate priorities clearly. It's tough when there are so many changes at the top; it impacts morale for the whole team. Also, more recognition would go a long way in boosting engagement.

Decent flexibility for remote tech roles
Pros: The remote work policy is pretty solid for Software Engineer roles at this mid-sized tech company. I can generally manage my schedule for personal appointments, which helps a lot. It's nice to have that freedom for my data analytics projects.
Cons: Sometimes the daily stand-ups feel a bit too strict, even for remote teams. There isn't much flexibility if you need to shift core hours regularly. It can make coordinating with cross-functional teams a little tough.
Advice to Management: Consider reviewing the rigidity of core hours for remote employees. More options for flexible start/end times would really improve work-life balance.
