Operations Executive

Okay for entry-level, tough to grow past that
Pros: You learn a ton quickly at this fast-paced startup. It's great exposure to the last-mile delivery side of the business in the Singapore office, especially if you're new to the industry. They trust you with responsibility early on.
Cons: Career growth isn't really structured; as an Operations Executive, there weren't many clear paths forward. It felt like you had to jump ship to get a promotion, and internal mobility was rare for logistics roles. Not much mentorship either.
Advice to Management: Please create clearer career development plans, especially for core operational roles. Investing in formal training and internal promotion structures would really help employee retention and morale for your key people.

Flexibility Varies by Role, Mostly Hybrid
Pros: Some *corporate roles* at this *logistics tech* company get pretty good *hybrid work* options. It's nice to have a couple *WFH days* a week when you're in the *Singapore office*. For a fast-paced *startup*, that's decent.
Cons: But for *field operations* roles or *delivery drivers*, forget about it; your schedule is pretty rigid. There isn't much *flexibility* if you're directly involved in the *supply chain* movement. Expect long days, especially during peak seasons.

Fast-paced logistics, some good people
Pros: I really liked my team in the Singapore office. As a Logistics Coordinator, I got to learn a lot about e-commerce logistics. There's a decent sense of camaraderie among the ground staff.
Cons: The company culture can feel pretty high-pressure, especially during peak season for last-mile delivery. Communication from top leadership isn't always clear, and it often feels like we're just reacting to things.
Advice to Management: Try to improve internal communication, especially between different departments. Clearer goals from management would really help reduce daily stress for operational roles.

Okay for a Start, Growth Can Be Tough
Pros: Good place to learn fast, especially if you're new to the logistics industry. You get hands-on experience in the Singapore office, which is great for understanding e-commerce delivery from the ground up.
Cons: Career growth here is pretty slow for junior roles like an Operations Executive. There isn't a clear path up, and you often feel stuck doing the same tasks for a long time. Promotions are rare, even if you work hard.
Advice to Management: Create clearer career paths for individual contributors, especially for those in operations. Invest more in internal training and mentorship programs to help people move up.

Job Security is Okay, But Growth Can Be Slow
Pros: It's a growing logistics company, so there's always work to do. They don't seem to do big layoffs often. For Logistics Coordinator roles, it feels pretty stable day-to-day.
Cons: Career progression is a bit slow for individual contributors. It's tough to move up unless someone leaves. The pay isn't amazing, especially for the long hours required sometimes in operations.
Advice to Management: Focus more on clear career paths for operations staff. Better compensation for the intense workload would help with retention.

Leadership has some good points, but needs work
Pros: Some local managers really get the ground-level work. They're good at problem-solving daily logistics challenges. You can learn a lot about the e-commerce shipping industry here.
Cons: Upper management often seems out of touch with daily operations. Decisions feel top-down and not well-explained to the Singapore office teams. It's tough when you're working in a hybrid model and communication isn't clear from the top.
Advice to Management: Try to connect more with the teams doing the actual work. Get feedback before making big changes. Improve internal communication for everyone, especially those in operations roles.

Decent pay, but job security can be iffy
Pros: The pay is actually pretty solid for a Logistics Coordinator in the Singapore office. You learn a ton about e-commerce logistics and parcel delivery, which is great experience. There's a lot of action, it's rarely boring.
Cons: Job security isn't the strongest here, especially with market shifts in the tech logistics company space. Layoffs have happened in other parts of the business, so it's always in the back of your mind. You really feel the pressure in operations roles; it can be tough to relax.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent about the company's long-term plans and how they affect different departments. Stability would really help morale for us in the Singapore office.

Leadership at Ninja Van needs work
Pros: My immediate team was great; everyone's super supportive. It's a fast-growing startup, so you learn a lot about the e-commerce delivery space. The Singapore office had a decent vibe among peers.
Cons: Leadership really lacks clear direction here. As a Logistics Coordinator, I often felt caught between conflicting priorities from above. Upper management changes too much, which hurts overall strategy and morale.
Advice to Management: Stabilize leadership at the top. Give your managers better training and empower them to make decisions. Consistency is key for a company handling so much e-commerce delivery volume.

Decent for now, but watch the industry changes
Pros: The growth in e-commerce logistics means there's always work, especially for operations roles. They're a big player in Southeast Asia, so the company itself feels pretty stable. I never really worried about getting laid off as an Operations Executive as long as I performed.
Cons: The industry is constantly changing, so you sometimes worry about long-term job security if new tech comes out. There's not a lot of upward movement for individual contributors, so career growth can feel limited sometimes. The work hours can be long in the Singapore office, which makes it tough to feel settled.
Advice to Management: Focus on internal career pathing for individual contributors. It would help people feel more secure about their future here.

Flexibility is okay, but has limits
Pros: I've been able to occasionally adjust my start time as a Logistics Coordinator, which helps with personal appointments. There's a decent push for hybrid work options for some non-operations roles, which is good. It's not a strict 9-to-5 always.
Cons: For actual logistics roles, true work flexibility is tough. You're often tied to delivery routes and the daily rush of ecommerce shipping. Remote work isn't really an option for many of us, you're expected onsite more often than not.
Advice to Management: Management should clearly define what 'flexibility' means for different departments, especially for operational roles in a logistics company. Don't promise what you can't deliver across the board.
