Okay flexibility, but room to grow for remote folks

kuubiik has some good points regarding flexibility, but it's not perfect, especially if you're fully remote. The culture still leans towards being in-office more, which can be tough.

Pros

There's decent work flexibility here, especially for Software Engineer roles. You can often adjust your start and end times to fit your day. It's good for those looking for hybrid work arrangements too.

Cons

Remote employees like me, working from Austin, sometimes feel like an afterthought. Meeting schedules don't always consider global time zones. True async work is still a challenge in the tech industry here.

Advice to Management

Please focus on making remote work truly equitable. Consider global time zones for meetings and support more async communication tools and practices for all teams.

Leadership is Okay, But Needs Work
Pros: You'll find some really smart people here. The actual software development projects are often challenging and pretty engaging. Plus, the hybrid work model is a huge plus, giving good flexibility for technical roles.
Cons: The biggest issue is leadership communication; it's often unclear what the long-term vision is. Decision-making from the top can feel pretty slow, which bogs things down. It feels tough to see clear career growth paths sometimes.
Advice to Management: Please work on clearer communication, especially about company direction and employee development. Better defined career paths would really help morale for engineers.
