Pretty Decent Work-Life Balance at Carrier
Pros: As an Electrical Engineer working on HVAC systems, I generally kept a 40-hour week. The hybrid model definitely helps with flexibility, letting me avoid rush hour in the Atlanta office a few days a week.
Cons: Some projects can get really intense, especially nearing deadlines for new building technologies. It's not always consistent, and sometimes you just have to put in extra hours for engineering roles.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project scopes to avoid those last-minute crunches. It would improve work-life consistency for engineering roles.

Solid work-life balance for most roles here
Pros: For a Mechanical Engineer, I usually hit my 40 hours a week. There's good PTO, so taking vacations from the Palm Beach Gardens, FL office isn't too tough. It feels pretty decent in the building technology industry.
Cons: Sometimes projects for new HVAC systems require long stretches and extra hours. You can definitely feel pressure to stay late for those deadlines. It's not always consistent, especially with onsite work demands.
Advice to Management: Try to even out project loads more across the board. It would really help prevent those last-minute crunch times for us engineers.

Solid Job Security for Corporate Stability
Pros: Job security is definitely a big pro at Carrier. It's a huge, established company in the HVAC industry, so you generally don't have to worry about your role disappearing. Benefits are pretty good too.
Cons: Career growth for Product Manager roles can be really slow here. You're often stuck waiting for someone to retire to move up. The corporate environment in the Atlanta, GA office can also feel a bit bogged down with processes, slowing innovation.
Advice to Management: Management needs to really focus on speeding up internal promotions. Also, let teams innovate a bit more without so much red tape. Less corporate bureaucracy, please!
