Pros: The hybrid work model is a decent step for our Austin, TX office. You get two WFH days a week, which helps with commutes. It's nice to have some control over your schedule, especially for personal appointments.
Cons: Still, as a Software Engineer, I wish there was more flexibility beyond the set hybrid structure. It's not truly remote-friendly if you need to be in the office three days. Sometimes, team meetings are scheduled for WFH days, forcing you to come in, which defeats the purpose.
Advice to Management: Management should really commit to the hybrid model or go fully remote for some roles. It'd help a lot with morale and retaining tech talent, especially for the engineering teams.
