Decent place for consulting, but growth is on you
Pros: As a Software Engineer in the Nantes office, you get to work with lots of different tech stacks. It's a mid-sized IT consultancy so projects vary a lot, which is good for gaining experience in software development. They encourage learning and have some internal training options.
Cons: Career growth isn't automatic; you really have to push for it yourself. Sometimes there's not a clear path for advancing beyond a certain point, especially for IT consulting roles. It feels like the focus is more on client delivery than individual career progression.
Advice to Management: Focus more on creating clear career paths and providing mentors for growth beyond just project assignments. A bit more proactive support for internal skill development would really help.

Solid Place for Software Developers in Paris
Pros: Job security is a real plus here, especially as a Software Engineer. There's always a good stream of IT consulting projects. You don't often worry about layoffs, which is nice.
Cons: Sometimes projects can feel a bit repetitive. Career growth for developers isn't always super clear. The pay for some roles could be better when compared to bigger tech firms.
Advice to Management: Focus more on clear career paths for technical roles. Make sure project rotations are well-managed to keep people engaged.

Good Hybrid Model, Watch Client Site Demands
Pros: The hybrid work setup is pretty solid here. As a Software Consultant, I could generally WFH 2-3 days a week, which is a real bonus for personal time. This flexibility helps a lot, especially for folks in IT consulting roles.
Cons: You're often at the mercy of client needs, though. Some client mandates mean you're onsite more than you planned, which limits remote work. It's not super consistent across all agile projects.
Advice to Management: Improve client negotiation on remote options. Provide more tools or guidelines for consultants when clients push for full-time onsite work.
