Decent Team, but Leadership Could Be Better
Pros: The immediate team is super supportive, which really helps when you're hitting those tough placement targets in healthcare staffing. There's a good sense of camaraderie among the recruiters. For a remote role, the work flexibility is solid.
Cons: The leadership team often feels pretty distant, especially with everyone working remote. This can make the overall company culture feel less cohesive. Sometimes the pressure to perform is really high for a Talent Acquisition Specialist here.
Advice to Management: Try to be more present and engaged with the remote teams. Regular check-ins and clearer communication from the top would help build a stronger, more unified company culture.

Decent place, but WFH could be better
Pros: They're pretty chill with appointments if you communicate. As a Recruitment Coordinator, I could occasionally shift my hours. That was nice for personal needs.
Cons: True work-from-home (WFH) for my role isn't really an option here. Hybrid work is very limited, mostly 4 days in the Los Angeles office. Wish there was more flexibility for staffing and recruiting roles beyond just adjusting start/end times.
Advice to Management: Consider implementing a more robust hybrid work policy for all eligible roles. This would really help with employee retention, especially for the younger talent in staffing and recruiting.

Career Path is a Bit Stagnant Here
Pros: The team here is solid, especially other recruiters. You learn a lot about different industries from placing candidates. The hybrid model for work-life balance is okay, giving some flexibility.
Cons: Career growth is pretty slow for a Technical Recruiter. There aren't many opportunities to move up or into different internal roles within this staffing agency. Training for leadership or advanced talent acquisition skills isn't really a thing.
Advice to Management: Really focus on developing clearer career paths for your talent acquisition team. Offer more training and internal mobility options if you want people to stick around longer than a few years.

Leadership needs to step it up, honestly.
Pros: My direct team lead is pretty solid and helpful for new Staffing Specialists. They actually get what it's like on the ground in a busy recruitment firm. There's a good chance to learn how to manage client accounts if you're proactive.
Cons: Upper management feels pretty disconnected. There's not much clear communication about company direction, which is tough for talent acquisition roles trying to hit targets. It feels like they don't really listen to feedback.
Advice to Management: Please try to be more present and transparent. We need clear goals and to feel heard, especially for those of us working hard in client-facing recruitment roles. Invest in better management training for those leading teams.

Pay's okay, but benefits need an upgrade
Pros: The base salary for a Recruiter here isn't bad for a mid-sized staffing agency. You can make decent commission if you hit your targets consistently. It's a solid place if you're good at sales and talent acquisition.
Cons: Health insurance benefits aren't great, honestly. The deductible is pretty high, and the 401k match is super low. It's tough to feel secure about long-term financial planning here.
Advice to Management: Please revisit the benefits package, especially health insurance and the 401k match. Better benefits would really help with employee retention and make EBS MatchStaff more competitive.

Flexibility is okay, but it's not consistent
Pros: Working as a Recruitment Consultant, I've found some decent flexibility for hybrid work. It's nice to split time between the office in New York City and working remotely. This setup works well for many in the staffing industry.
Cons: The flexibility really depends on your specific team and manager. Not all roles or departments get the same hybrid options, which can feel unfair. There's definitely room for improvement on consistent policies across EBS MatchStaff.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize work flexibility options across all departments. It would boost morale if everyone knew what to expect, especially for hybrid roles.

Culture's Decent, But Could Be Better
Pros: I really like my immediate team. Everyone's pretty supportive, and we often do casual team lunches, especially for those of us in the Chicago office. There's good camaraderie among the talent acquisition staff.
Cons: The leadership sometimes feels out of touch with what we do daily. This can lead to some confusing priority shifts for recruitment roles. I wish there was more open communication from the top.
Advice to Management: Try to connect more with the individual teams. Better transparency and consistent goal-setting would help everyone feel more aligned and valued.

Okay flexibility for hybrid roles, some remote options.
Pros: They're pretty chill about office days if you're in a hybrid arrangement. You usually just need to be in the New York City office 2-3 times a week. For some *staffing agency* roles, there's good flexibility to adjust start/end times for personal appointments, which is a huge plus for work-life balance.
Cons: True remote work for *Recruiting Coordinator* positions is rare, even if it's sometimes advertised. Most roles end up being hybrid, not fully remote. The "flexibility" often means just working late from home to finish tasks, not actually fewer hours overall in the *recruitment industry*. It can feel like unpaid overtime.
Advice to Management: Be more transparent about actual remote work opportunities, especially for roles like Recruiting Coordinator. Ensure that offering 'flexibility' doesn't just translate to employees working more hours outside of the standard workday to keep up.

Decent for now, but always a bit up in the air
Pros: As a Recruiting Coordinator, I've always had a full plate, especially with all the temporary placements we handle. The mid-sized recruitment agency has a good client base, which keeps things relatively stable work-wise.
Cons: Job security can feel a bit tied to market fluctuations; if clients slow down on hiring, it directly impacts the need for us in staffing roles. There's not a lot of clarity on long-term growth or how secure your specific role is if things shift, especially for those working remote from Dallas, TX.
Advice to Management: Be more transparent about the company's long-term vision and how individual roles, especially for remote employees, fit into that. Clearer career paths would help with retention.

Okay for a start, slow on career growth
Pros: You get good training as a new Recruiting Coordinator. It's a solid place to learn the ropes of talent acquisition. The hybrid work option in the Dallas, TX office is a big plus.
Cons: Career growth feels really slow. I felt stuck in my role as a Recruiting Coordinator for way too long. There aren't many clear paths to advance within this mid-sized staffing agency.
Advice to Management: Management should really focus on creating clearer career ladders. Invest in internal development programs so people don't feel like they need to leave to grow.
