Project Coordinator

Leadership has its moments, some good
Pros: The senior managers in the Manila office really know their stuff technically. As a Project Coordinator, I've learned a lot from their experience on various development projects. There's decent support from immediate supervisors for day-to-day tasks.
Cons: Upper management doesn't always communicate changes effectively, which makes planning tough for onsite teams. Sometimes, decisions feel a bit top-down without enough input from those on the ground. There's a lack of consistent feedback for career growth.
Advice to Management: Try to create more open communication channels between upper management and project teams. Consistent performance reviews and clearer career pathing would really help staff retention for this mid-sized corporate environment.

Civil Engineer

Work-life balance is okay for a development company
Pros: Regular 40-hour weeks are common for Civil Engineer roles when projects aren't in crisis mode. The team in the Metro Manila office is supportive, which helps a lot. It's a stable company in the construction industry.
Cons: When big project deadlines hit, you're looking at long hours and sometimes weekend work. This is especially true for project management roles. It really impacts your personal life and can be unpredictable.
Advice to Management: Try to staff projects better to avoid crunch times and burnout. Acknowledge the extra effort from onsite teams during busy periods.
