Solid Perks, But Workload Can Be Heavy
Pros: I liked the decent PTO and benefits, especially for a large hospitality industry company. There's some work flexibility with hybrid options if you're in the Bethesda, MD corporate office.
Cons: The work-life balance is tough, especially during peak season. As a Revenue Manager, the pressure to meet targets means long hours are common. Can feel understaffed sometimes, making it hard to leave on time.
Advice to Management: Management needs to address staffing levels to truly support a better work-life balance. Burnout is real when teams are consistently stretched thin.

Good travel perks, but base pay is just okay
Pros: The employee travel discounts are a huge benefit, especially for hotel staff. You can snag some really cheap rooms globally. Health insurance is also pretty decent for a corporate hotel chain, which is always a plus.
Cons: The base pay for a Front Desk Agent in Orlando, FL isn't great; it's tough to live on alone. Raises are also pretty small, so don't expect to climb much financially year over year in the hospitality industry.
Advice to Management: Consider reviewing the base salaries for front-line guest services roles, especially in high-cost-of-living areas. Better compensation would really boost morale and retention.

Marriott Perks are Good, Pay Needs Work
Pros: The employee travel program is a huge plus; you can stay at properties for super cheap. This is one of the best hotel benefits out there, especially if you love to travel. The medical and dental are also pretty decent for a corporate giant.
Cons: However, the base pay for a Hotel Operations Manager role can be pretty tough, especially with the cost of living here in Orlando. It feels like you're underpaid for the amount of responsibility. Don't expect huge raises unless you move up quickly.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the salary bands, especially for critical operational roles like managers. Attracting and retaining top talent in the hospitality industry needs competitive compensation, not just great perks.
