Pros: The hybrid model is a solid perk. As an Operations Analyst in the Charlotte office, I usually only went in a few days a week. We had decent PTO, which helped with burnout sometimes.
Cons: Workload can get really heavy in corporate banking. Some weeks felt like constant crunch time, making true 40-hour weeks rare. It's tough to really disconnect with all the constant emails.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize workloads across teams and encourage managers to protect employees' time after hours. Burnout is real in financial services.

Pros: Working as a Senior Financial Analyst in the Charlotte, NC office, there's a lot of work, so you generally feel needed. It's a big corporate bank, so the benefits package is pretty solid. It felt stable for a while.
Cons: They do have major restructurings though, and layoffs happen for finance roles. Sometimes it feels like you're just a number in this large financial institution. You can't get too comfortable.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent during reorganization periods. Employees really value clear communication about their future, especially in such a large financial institution. Invest in talent development to retain good people.

Pros: For a Financial Analyst, the career growth path is pretty clear if you put in the time. The pay and benefits in the corporate environment are actually decent, especially the healthcare. My immediate team in the Charlotte, NC office was supportive, which made daily tasks easier.
Cons: Leadership often feels out of touch with what's happening on the ground. There's a lot of micromanagement from higher-ups, which can be frustrating for those of us doing the actual banking sector work. Decision-making is really slow, making projects drag on forever.
Advice to Management: Try to trust your teams more and delegate effectively. Reduce the micromanagement, especially for experienced Financial Analysts. Improve communication from the top down.
