Pros: Most days, I wrap up my service calls by 5 PM, which is great for family time. They generally try to optimize routes to avoid too much overtime. It's good for a mid-sized pest management company.
Cons: Summer is super busy, so you'll definitely work longer hours as an exterminator. Weekends can sometimes get scheduled, which isn't ideal for work-life balance. Not much flexibility since it's an onsite role.
Advice to Management: Try to add more weekend staff during peak season to reduce the load on existing field technicians. Better planning for unexpected sick days would also help balance the route.
