Pros: The hybrid work model is a huge plus, allowing us some WFH flexibility in the Manila office. You get a lot of autonomy as a Software Engineer. The teams in software development are really supportive during tight deadlines, which helps.
Cons: Work-life balance gets tough during product launches. We've had quite a few 10-12 hour days when hitting release targets. The demands of a growing tech startup can mean unpredictable schedules, which isn't ideal for everyone.
Advice to Management: Try to better scope projects and protect engineering teams from constant crunch. More predictable schedules would really help with employee morale and retention.
