Leadership can be a mixed bag at RAPP
Pros: Some senior folks genuinely care about their teams. They'll back you up on client issues, which is good for us in a digital marketing agency. You learn a lot from their experience in the New York office.
Cons: There's a big disconnect between some upper management and the teams. Decision-making feels slow sometimes, and it impacts our project timelines. As an Account Manager, it's frustrating when big picture strategy isn't clear.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearer communication from the top down. Empower mid-level managers more and provide better strategic guidance for the teams, especially for hybrid work setups. It would really help project clarity.

Culture is a bit of a mixed bag
Pros: The teams are genuinely supportive, especially for new hires in digital marketing. You'll learn a lot from your colleagues in the NYC office. There's a decent sense of camaraderie.
Cons: It's tough with leadership; there's often unclear direction for campaign strategy. You'll find yourself putting in long hours for client services, especially around pitch season. Work-life balance here is generally poor.
Advice to Management: Focus on providing clearer direction and managing workloads better for your client services teams. That would greatly improve employee morale.

Okay flexibility, but client demands rule
Pros: I liked the initial promise of a hybrid model, letting us work remote a couple days a week from the Dallas office. For some digital marketing teams, it actually works out pretty well. There's decent equipment for WFH days.
Cons: The work flexibility really depends on your clients and direct manager. As an Account Manager, I often felt tied to the office because of client meetings. Late nights are common, which makes the WFH options less useful when you're still working until 9 PM.
Advice to Management: Management needs to enforce the hybrid policy more consistently across all teams, especially for client-facing roles. Empower managers to push back on client demands that constantly erode employee flexibility. The digital marketing industry is tough, but it doesn't have to break people.
