Pros: Some of the senior project managers are actually pretty decent. They give you space to handle event planning and client briefs on your own. There's also good team spirit among the lower ranks for onsite work.
Cons: The top leadership often gives vague directions, which makes it tough for event management roles. Communication isn't always clear, and it feels like they often change their minds. It's hard to get consistent support when you need it for vendor relationships.
Advice to Management: Work on clearer communication and consistent vision from the top. It would really help project leads and event coordinators do their jobs better in the Manila office.

Pros: The base salary for an Events Coordinator in the Manila office is actually pretty decent. It's competitive for the local market, especially for entry to mid-level event planning roles. They also provide HMO, which is a solid perk to have here in the Philippines.
Cons: Overtime is a huge issue for event production. You're expected to put in long hours, sometimes 12-14 hour days during peak event season, and there's no official overtime pay. Annual raises aren't very predictable, and bonuses for your hard work are pretty rare.
Advice to Management: Management should definitely re-evaluate the overtime policy for event staff. Paying for those extra hours or offering comp time would make a huge difference. Also, a more transparent bonus system for project milestones would be great.

Pros: As an Events Coordinator, I got solid experience in event planning and logistics for various clients. It's a good place to learn the ropes for entry-level event management roles in the Manila office.
Cons: The career growth really isn't there for long-term employees. There aren't many opportunities for upward movement, so you're kinda stuck unless you leave. Senior positions rarely open up in this mid-sized events company.
Advice to Management: Management should create more defined career paths and invest in developing existing talent. Don't make people leave to get a promotion in event management.
