Pros: I've found the work-life balance for my Software Engineer role is generally okay most weeks. We get a decent hybrid schedule, working remote a few days which helps a lot. It's nice to have some project flexibility.
Cons: But when a big release is coming, you'll feel the pressure. There's often a push for extra hours, and sometimes meetings run pretty late for our Austin, TX office. It can get tough to unplug.
Advice to Management: Try to avoid those last-minute crunch periods. Better project planning would really help us manage our time.
