Leadership needs to step up communications
Pros: I liked the hybrid work setup; it gave me good flexibility. The team itself, especially other Software Engineers in the San Francisco office, were really solid and collaborative. It's a decent mid-sized tech company overall.
Cons: Upper leadership often felt pretty disconnected from the ground level. Decisions for the software development team sometimes came out of nowhere without much explanation. There's not enough transparency when it comes to long-term strategy and agile methodologies.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent with your teams, especially about strategy and changes. Get more input from individual contributors before rolling out big decisions that impact how we work, particularly for our core software development efforts.

Okay Place, But Career Growth is Tough
Pros: The team is pretty solid, everyone's helpful. The hybrid work schedule in the Seattle office is nice; I get a good mix of WFH and in-person time. Benefits are standard, nothing too fancy, but reliable.
Cons: Career growth is really slow, especially for Junior Software Engineers. It's hard to get promoted or take on bigger projects. There's not much structured mentorship or training for software development, which makes advancing tough in this corporate environment. I've been here a couple years and feel pretty stuck.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer career paths and invest in more mentorship programs, especially for junior engineering roles. It would really help with retention and employee morale.
