Work-Life Balance Can Be Tricky Here
Pros: They do try to offer decent benefits and there's a clear structure for career progression if you stick it out. Some teams in the Manila office actually manage pretty good work-life balance during slower periods. For new hires in the consumer financing sector, it's a solid place to learn the ropes.
Cons: As a Loan Officer, expect some long days, especially during peak sales periods; it's just how the financial services industry goes. It's tough to get real work flexibility, you're mostly onsite. Sometimes management pushes for aggressive targets, which makes maintaining a personal life hard.
Advice to Management: Try to recognize when teams are consistently overworked and consider adjusting targets or staffing for Loan Officer roles. More work flexibility would really help morale.

Flexibility is decent, not groundbreaking
Pros: As a Customer Service Representative in Taguig, I've had some luck with shift swaps if I plan ahead. Some teams, especially senior roles in the financial services industry, can get a decent hybrid work option which is a nice perk.
Cons: Most of the entry-level roles are strictly onsite, which really limits work flexibility for many. The schedules can be pretty rigid; don't expect much remote work freedom if you're not in a specific team or tenure bracket.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more hybrid work options for customer-facing roles when feasible. Review the rigid scheduling for better work-life balance across all positions.

Hybrid Setup for Credit Analysts: It's Okay
Pros: It's good to have a hybrid model for customer service and consumer lending roles; not having to commute to the Taguig office daily is a big plus. Getting a few WFH days definitely helps with gas money and traffic.
Cons: However, the 'hybrid' part isn't very flexible. You get assigned specific days for onsite work and you can't really change them around. This rigid schedule makes planning personal stuff harder, and it doesn't always feel like true work-life balance.
Advice to Management: Consider giving employees more control over their hybrid schedule. A more truly flexible model would boost morale and probably productivity too.
