Okay Place for IT Solutions Folks
Pros: The benefits package is pretty good, especially the 401k matching. I've gotten to work on some interesting cloud architecture projects. Having a remote option for IT solutions roles is a huge plus sometimes.
Cons: Leadership can be inconsistent across different teams. Some managers are really supportive, others aren't great at communication. Career growth isn't always super clear for us Technical Consultants. It just feels like a big corporate machine often.
Advice to Management: Focus on consistent leadership development programs across all departments. Make career paths more transparent for technical consultants, especially in evolving IT solutions areas.

Solid Job Security for IT Professionals Here
Pros: You don't really worry about layoffs here. As a Solutions Architect, there's always project work, especially in cloud services. The company's large, so it feels stable for IT professionals.
Cons: Career progression can feel a bit slow, though. Sometimes it feels like you're just maintaining status quo in your role. It's tough to move up unless someone leaves, especially in the Tempe, AZ office.
Advice to Management: Focus more on internal career paths and development for existing employees. There's a lot of talent here that feels stuck.

Okay flexibility for Inside Sales Reps
Pros: Remote work is an option for many as an Inside Sales Representative, which is a huge plus. It helps balance life, especially avoiding the commute to the Tempe, AZ office daily. They offer good benefits too.
Cons: True schedule flexibility isn't really there. For B2B tech sales roles, you're expected to be available during standard client hours, so adjusting your day is tough. WFH can feel like 'work from anywhere but always on' sometimes.
Advice to Management: Management should empower teams with more flexible schedules, not just location. It would boost morale, especially for those in client-facing IT solutions roles. Trust your people a bit more.

Leadership Can Be Hit or Miss
Pros: The team itself is solid, everyone helps each other out. As a Solution Architect, I've had good opportunities to work on diverse IT consulting projects. Our hybrid work setup in Tempe, AZ is pretty flexible.
Cons: Upper management often feels disconnected from the day-to-day. There's a lack of clear communication from leadership on big company changes. It's tough when you don't feel supported from the top.
Advice to Management: Focus on better transparency and communication from the executive level. Front-line managers are doing their best, but they need more support and clear direction from above.

Pay is Okay, Benefits are Decent
Pros: The health insurance plans are pretty solid, and the 401k match isn't bad for a corporate company. For Account Manager roles, you get a decent base salary.
Cons: The commission structure often feels opaque and changes a lot. Pay raises don't really reflect inflation, especially compared to other IT solutions industry jobs.
Advice to Management: Rethink the commission plan for sales roles and ensure base pay is more competitive with current market rates in the IT solutions space.

Pay is Okay, Benefits Could Be Better
Pros: The base salary for a Solutions Architect here is pretty decent, especially if you're coming in with experience. It's a big tech company, so the 401k match is solid, and that's a big plus. The health insurance plans are okay too, not amazing but definitely usable.
Cons: Annual pay raises are usually pretty small, making it hard to really grow your compensation as an individual contributor. The overall benefits package, especially for dental and vision, feels pretty average, even for a company in the IT solutions industry. Don't expect huge bonuses unless you're in a high-performing sales role; for a Solutions Architect, they're often just okay.
Advice to Management: Look into making annual raises more competitive to retain top talent. Also, clearly define bonus structures for non-sales roles, especially for those in technical solution delivery.

Leadership at Insight is a mixed bag
Pros: The remote work flexibility is genuinely good for my work-life balance. I've also gained valuable experience working with various IT solutions, which is great for an IT Consultant. Benefits are quite decent for a big corporate environment.
Cons: Leadership often feels disconnected from the ground level. We don't always get clear direction, especially with new cloud services projects. It's tough when big decisions come down without much team input or understanding of daily operations.
Advice to Management: Try to engage more with the teams doing the actual work. It feels like there's a disconnect. Clearer communication on company strategy and career progression for IT Consultant roles would also help a lot.

Good Culture, But Workload Can Be Heavy
Pros: They really emphasize internal growth, which is good. I've seen a lot of people move up into different IT consulting roles. Being remote offers some decent flexibility for personal appointments.
Cons: Work-life balance as a Solutions Architect can be tough here. There's pressure to hit aggressive project deadlines, and often it means putting in extra time. It's not always a 40-hour week.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project scopes and client expectations to prevent burnout. Support managers more in protecting their team's time.

Hybrid Work is a Lifeline for Tech Consultants
Pros: I appreciate the hybrid work option here. Being able to work remote a few days a week really makes a difference for my personal life. It's a solid perk in the IT solutions industry, especially when client travel pops up.
Cons: Sometimes client demands mean flexibility gets tough, even with the hybrid model. There's pressure to be in the Tempe, AZ office more often than initially advertised for some projects. It can feel a bit unpredictable.
Advice to Management: Be more consistent with hybrid expectations across different Technical Consultant teams. Managers should empower teams more to set their own WFH schedules.
