About The Role
We are seeking an experienced
Head of Engineering & Design to lead a multidisciplinary engineering and design team for large-scale infrastructure and building projects. This strategic leadership position is responsible for driving engineering excellence, digital transformation, operational efficiency, and successful project delivery while supporting business growth and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute engineering and design strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Establish KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
Engineering & Project Excellence
- Ensure design quality, compliance, and adherence to industry standards.
- Oversee complex engineering and design projects from planning to delivery.
- Drive value engineering, sustainability, and risk management initiatives.
- Support technical decision-making for critical projects.
Resource & Commercial Management
- Manage departmental resources, workforce planning, and talent development.
- Optimize project utilization and engineering productivity.
- Monitor departmental budgets and support cost optimization initiatives.
- Provide technical expertise during proposal and tender stages.
Digital Transformation
- Champion BIM adoption and design automation initiatives.
- Improve engineering processes and workflows through technology and data-driven practices.
- Lead operational excellence and continuous improvement programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PEPC or equivalent) certification is required.
- 15+ years of engineering experience with at least 7 years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering governance, project delivery, and design management.
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera P6, and other engineering tools.
- Exposure to BIM, digital engineering, or data analytics platforms is an advantage.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
