Compliance Management: Ensure all site activities comply with the Environmental Quality Act 1974 and other relevant environmental laws and regulations.
EMP Implementation: Execute and monitor the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and Erosion and Sediment Control Plan (ESCP).
Site Inspections: Conduct regular site audits to identify environmental risks (e.g., scheduled waste, water quality, noise, and dust) and recommend corrective actions.
Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly environmental reports to the Project Manager and relevant government agencies.
Authority Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the Department of Environment (DOE), JAS, and local municipal councils regarding environmental audits and permits.
Training: Provide environmental awareness training and briefings to site staff and subcontractors.
Job Requirements
Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety), or a related discipline.
Registered Environmental Officer (EO) with DOE or relevant competent certifications (e.g., CePSWAM or CePBFO) is highly preferred.
Minimum 2–4 years of working experience in environmental management within the construction or SME industry.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian environmental regulations and reporting requirements.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Melayu to handle documentation and authority site visits.
Location: Must be willing to work on-site in Klang.
