Pros: Job security is pretty solid, especially for construction projects. You know what you're doing each day working onsite, and the core team is decent.
Cons: Work flexibility is tough for a Site Engineer here. You're always on the project site. Can't really WFH, and unexpected overtime for project deadlines is common. Weekends can get swallowed up too.
Advice to Management: Try to give site personnel, especially those in Project Engineer or Site Supervisor roles, more predictable schedules. It would help a lot with burnout on major construction projects.
