Pretty Standard Setup, Decent Work-Life
Pros: They're pretty understanding if you need to come in a bit late for personal appointments. The team in the Kuala Lumpur office is great, everyone pitches in. For an IT Support Specialist, the day-to-day demands are generally predictable.
Cons: True remote work isn't really an option here, we're almost always onsite. There isn't much flexibility for hybrid work arrangements either, which is tough for some of us. Sometimes weekend on-call rotations can really disrupt personal plans.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more hybrid work options, especially for technical support roles that don't require constant onsite presence. It would really help with employee morale and retention.

Job Security is a Real Concern Here
Pros: The projects for our medical technology products are genuinely interesting. As a Software Engineer, I got to work with some cool new tools. The team environment, especially for hybrid work setup, was pretty collaborative and supportive.
Cons: Job security is a massive issue. There've been multiple rounds of layoffs across departments in the Kuala Lumpur office. It's hard to feel confident in your role when that's happening around you.
Advice to Management: Be more transparent about the company's financial health and future direction. It would really help morale if employees felt more secure and informed about potential changes.
