Hybrid model is okay, but could be better
Pros: The hybrid model here is pretty decent for us Software Engineers, letting you WFH a couple of days. It helps a lot when you have personal appointments or just need quiet focus time without the commute to the Singapore office. This kind of flexibility is a big plus in the ride-hailing platform industry.
Cons: Honestly, the 'flexibility' can feel a bit forced sometimes, with teams still pushing for more in-office days than advertised. There's not much wiggle room if your team decides on specific days, so it's not truly agile, especially if you're working on critical fintech solutions. It's not as flexible as other big tech companies.
Advice to Management: Give teams more autonomy to decide on hybrid schedules, or at least stick to the company-wide guidelines. It would really help morale for Software Engineers and other tech roles.

Hybrid Model is Okay, Could Be Better
Pros: They have a hybrid work policy, which is good for us `Software Engineer` roles. I can work from home a couple days a week from the `Singapore` office. It's nice to avoid the commute sometimes, and the `big tech` setup means decent tools for `remote` collaboration.
Cons: The flexibility really depends on your manager and team, honestly. Some teams are way more strict about fixed office days. It's not truly flexible if you're stuck to a rigid schedule, especially for `delivery platform` ops roles which are mostly `onsite`.
Advice to Management: Standardize the hybrid policy and give teams clearer guidelines. Allow more autonomy so work flexibility isn't just up to individual managers.

Hybrid Work: Decent, But Not Totally Flexible
Pros: They do offer a hybrid work model, which is a plus for a big tech company. You don't have to be in the Singapore office five days a week, which helps with commutes. For engineering roles, there's some leeway on which days you come in.
Cons: The "hybrid" policy often means specific mandatory in-office days, so it's not truly flexible. It can be tough if you have personal appointments or want to avoid peak hours. The delivery services industry moves fast, so expectations for availability are high.
Advice to Management: Really look at what "hybrid" means for employees. More trust in remote work or truly flexible in-office days would help.
