Software Developer

Job security is a real mixed bag here
Pros: It's a mid-sized company, so you don't feel like just a number here. If you're solid at your core software development tasks, you'll likely stick around for a while. They generally try to avoid mass layoffs, which is decent for the tech industry in Malaysia.
Cons: Project-based work means things can feel unstable if you're between client engagements. There's not much transparency when contracts aren't renewed, which impacts long-term job security for us. It's tough sometimes for new grads to feel really secure.
Advice to Management: More communication around future projects and client retention would really help employees feel more secure. Maybe look into internal projects for downtime between client work.

IT Support Specialist

Leadership needs some major work here
Pros: The team is generally friendly and helpful, and you can learn a lot if you're new to the IT services industry. The Kuala Lumpur office is easy to get to, and the work is mostly onsite, which suits some people.
Cons: Leadership often feels disconnected from the day-to-day work of an IT Support Specialist. Decisions come down without clear explanations, which is pretty frustrating for us. There's not much clear direction for career growth, either.
Advice to Management: Try to be more present and communicate decisions better. Engage with the teams doing the actual work. It would help a lot with morale and understanding overall company goals.
