Decent work-life balance for financial roles
Pros: I've been a Senior Analyst here for a few years, and the work-life balance is pretty decent most of the time. We get a flexible hybrid work model, which is great for managing personal stuff. The PTO policy for the financial services industry is also solid.
Cons: That said, you definitely feel the crunch during quarter-end reporting. It's tough to truly disconnect then, especially working in a corporate environment. There's an unspoken expectation to check emails after hours sometimes.
Advice to Management: Try to enforce stricter boundaries around after-hours communication, especially for financial reporting deadlines, to truly support employee well-being.

Decent Benefits, Pay Could Be Better Here
Pros: The health insurance is quite comprehensive, which is a big plus. We also get a good amount of annual leave, helping with work-life balance for those of us in the insurance sector.
Cons: Base salary for Data Analyst roles isn't super competitive compared to other companies in the Singapore office. It felt like pay wasn't keeping up with market rates for the work.
Advice to Management: Review salary benchmarks for Data Analyst positions in Singapore. Bringing pay up would really help with employee retention in the competitive financial services industry.

Hybrid Model is Okay, But Could Be Better
Pros: The hybrid model is pretty solid if your team embraces it. We usually get 2-3 days remote from the Singapore office, which helps with commute and personal errands. It's a decent perk in the insurance industry.
Cons: Not all departments or roles get the same WFH options, which feels unfair. Sometimes you need manager approval for even one WFH day, and that can be a real hassle. It's not as flexible as some companies.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize WFH policies across all teams and make approval less of a headache. Trust your employees more to manage their time.
