Pay is Okay, Benefits Need Work
Pros: The pay for an Account Manager is solid, especially once you hit your sales goals. There's real potential to earn good commission in the industrial distribution sector, which is a big plus.
Cons: However, the health insurance costs felt pretty high, and the coverage wasn't amazing. Also, the 401k match is just okay; it doesn't really stand out when you compare it to other big corporate companies.
Advice to Management: You should really look at making the health plans more competitive. Boosting the 401k match would also help attract and keep great talent in this competitive electrical and MRO supply industry.

Big Company, Decent Sales, Leadership Varies
Pros: Working as an Account Manager here has its perks. You get solid training and support, which is good for developing sales skills in the industrial MRO sector. The benefits package is competitive, especially compared to smaller companies.
Cons: My main gripe is with leadership; it's just not consistent. Some directors are awesome, but others can be pretty hands-off or micro-managey. For sales roles, that inconsistency makes it tough to hit targets sometimes.
Advice to Management: Invest more in developing consistent, strong leaders across all departments. Especially for those managing field sales, understanding daily challenges is key to better support.

Work-life Balance is Okay, Can Be Tough
Pros: For an entry-level Supply Chain Analyst, it's a good place to learn a lot about industrial distribution. You usually get your 40 hours, but sometimes there's flexibility if you need to leave early. The Pittsburgh office environment is decent.
Cons: It's easy for work to spill over past quitting time, especially during month-end closes or big projects. There's pressure to hit aggressive targets, which definitely impacts work-life balance. Sometimes you feel like you're always 'on,' even after hours.
Advice to Management: Try to set more realistic expectations for workload, especially for project-heavy roles. Better staffing might help avoid burnout and improve overall employee well-being.
