Decent Culture, But Feels Like a Big Corporation
Pros: I've learned a lot in the power tools industry here. The benefits are solid, especially the health plan. The hybrid work model is a huge plus for my work-life balance.
Cons: As a Junior Product Manager, it's tough to get new ideas heard. The culture can be really slow, typical of a big corporate environment. There are just too many meetings in the Towson office.
Advice to Management: Try to empower the younger talent. Streamline decision-making processes. Cut down on meetings to free up time.

Growth is possible, but you have to push for it.
Pros: I've seen people grow from entry-level engineering roles into senior leadership. If you're willing to put in the work and network, there are development programs. They do invest in training if you seek it out for specific skills relevant to the manufacturing sector.
Cons: Career growth isn't always clear-cut, especially as a Junior Product Manager. You often have to create your own opportunities rather than having a clear ladder. There's a lot of internal competition for good positions in the Towson, Maryland office, and it can feel slow.
Advice to Management: Create more defined career paths for individual contributors. It would really help employees see their future at Stanley Black & Decker and reduce attrition.

Work-Life Balance is Decent, Depends on Team
Pros: I usually hit my 40-hour weeks in the Charlotte, NC office. The manufacturing industry sometimes means tight deadlines, but my manager was understanding. It's a solid corporate environment if you manage expectations.
Cons: Some other Supply Chain Analyst roles here seemed swamped. There's pressure during peak seasons, and hybrid work can feel more like full-time onsite at times. It's not always consistent across departments.
Advice to Management: Standardize expectations for workload across all Supply Chain teams. Support true hybrid work arrangements for corporate roles.
