Decent place for global remote work
Pros: I love the full remote work arrangement; it's genuinely flexible. As a Software Engineer, I can manage my own hours pretty well, which is great for my work-life balance. Being remote from Berlin means I can travel and still do my job.
Cons: Sometimes the asynchronous communication gets tricky, especially with teams spread across so many time zones. It's tough to get quick answers, which can slow down projects in this HR tech space. There's also some process ambiguity in a fully remote startup.
Advice to Management: Try to streamline communication protocols for truly global teams. More clarity on project ownership would help.

Good flexibility but heavy workload for a remote startup.
Pros: Being fully remote from Berlin was great; true flexibility in where/when you work. As a Customer Success Manager, I could set my own hours, a huge perk for this global employment platform.
Cons: Flexibility is there, but workload is often heavy. You're stretched across time zones, which makes real asynchronous work hard for Customer Success roles. This impacts actual work-life balance.
Advice to Management: Figure out how to truly support asynchronous work across all teams, not just in theory. Managers need more training on managing global remote teams effectively.
