Pros: As a Clinical Research Associate, I liked the remote work flexibility. You learn a ton about the pharmaceutical industry here. The initial training for new hires is solid, really helps you get started.
Cons: The company culture can feel very corporate sometimes. There's a lot of bureaucracy, which is common in a big CRO environment. Team support really depends on your direct manager, it's not consistent across the board.
Advice to Management: Try to streamline some of the internal processes. Empower managers more to foster unique team cultures, instead of a one-size-fits-all approach.

Pros: I've mostly worked remote from Raleigh, NC, which is a huge plus. The WFH flexibility for many data roles is genuinely good, letting me manage my day well. It's solid for work-life balance when projects aren't intense.
Cons: Sometimes the workload for clinical trials can get really intense, making it tough to truly disconnect even with WFH. They push for a hybrid model in some teams, which isn't always ideal for everyone.
Advice to Management: Keep promoting the WFH and remote options, especially for roles that don't need to be in the office. Trust your teams more and standardize policies across departments to avoid confusion.

Pros: I loved the remote work option as a Clinical Research Associate. It made managing my schedule for different clinical trials much easier. The ability to choose my own hours for certain tasks was a big plus.
Cons: Despite the remote setup, client demands can sometimes make flexibility tough. It's hard to truly disconnect, and some weeks felt more like 50+ hours. There's not always a lot of wiggle room when deadlines hit.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage client expectations so that CRAs don't constantly feel overwhelmed. More support for workload management would really help.
