Decent pay, but job security feels shaky
Working at Standard Chartered in Singapore as an Associate Relationship Manager was a mixed bag. The pay and benefits were decent for the banking industry, but I always felt like job security was a real concern, especially with ongoing restructures.
The pay and benefits package is pretty solid for a big corporate bank, especially here in the Singapore office. You get good exposure working with clients in the banking industry. Plus, the team I was on was generally supportive.
Job security isn't great, honestly. There's always chatter about restructuring or layoffs, which makes you nervous, especially for Associate Relationship Manager roles. It's a huge corporate machine, so changes can be slow and sometimes disruptive.
Try to be more transparent about organizational changes and future plans. It would really help reduce the anxiety around job security and improve employee morale. Clear communication goes a long way.
