Pros: You get solid benefits and the pay for an entry-level Process Engineer is decent for the industry. Work-life balance is usually pretty good, most weeks are 40 hours. The team at the manufacturing plant is supportive.
Cons: Career growth is really tough here. There aren't many opportunities to move up, especially for junior engineering roles. It feels like you hit a ceiling pretty quick, even after improving manufacturing processes. Remote work isn't really an option either.
Advice to Management: Create clearer paths for internal promotion. Invest more in training programs for technical skills and leadership development for engineering talent.

Pros: Job security is a real plus here. Even with economic shifts, the Rochester, NY plant stays busy. Steady orders keep things moving. For production roles, it feels very stable.
Cons: Career growth can be pretty slow. There aren't many chances to move up fast. Especially if you want to jump into management. Some older equipment on the production lines is a frustration for us engineers.
Advice to Management: Focus more on professional development programs for engineers. It would help retain talent and show there's a path forward beyond just current roles.

Pros: My direct manager was a good mentor, helping new production engineers learn the ropes. There's a decent team spirit within our electronics manufacturing unit. The projects themselves are often interesting if you're into industrial tech.
Cons: Senior leadership can feel pretty disconnected from daily operations in the Oslo office. It's tough to get clear decisions on big manufacturing initiatives sometimes. They don't always seem to value input from people on the shop floor.
Advice to Management: Listen more to the people doing the actual work, especially in production. Improve communication flow between upper management and the teams executing electronics manufacturing tasks.
