Manufacturing Engineer

Leadership needs to get more connected
Pros: The job itself is pretty stable, and you get decent benefits. As a Manufacturing Engineer, I've had good opportunities to learn new processes. The onsite team in Louisville, KY is generally solid and supportive, which helps a lot.
Cons: Senior leadership often seems really disconnected from the plant floor. There's not much clear direction or transparency for engineering roles, and it can feel like decisions come out of nowhere. Career growth feels limited if you're not in the management circle.
Advice to Management: Be more visible on the production floor and actually talk to your teams. We need clearer goals and a better understanding of the 'why' behind decisions, especially for those of us in manufacturing and process engineering. Improve communication channels.
