Culture is a mixed bag, needs more focus
I worked at BJAK for a couple of years. The company culture had some strong points but also some real downsides, especially around inclusion. It's a typical mid-sized company trying to scale.
The team on my project was solid. Everyone was pretty helpful and there's a good camaraderie among the engineers in the San Francisco office. You'll definitely find smart people to work with as a Software Engineer here.
It can feel a bit cliquey sometimes. There isn't much support for remote employees, which makes it tough to connect if you're not physically there. For a growing mid-sized company, the overall culture sometimes lacks consistent direction.
Focus on making all employees feel genuinely connected, not just the ones who are physically in the office. Improve remote integration and set clear expectations for company-wide team building. This will really help the company culture.
