Leadership needs to step up their game
Pros: My immediate manager was super supportive, which made daily tasks way easier. The team in the New York City office is really collaborative on client reports. Plus, hybrid work is a solid perk for most roles, including Media Analysts.
Cons: Top leadership sometimes lacks a clear direction for the company in the media intelligence industry. Decision-making feels really slow, holding up new projects. There's also not much of a clear path for career growth beyond entry-level positions.
Advice to Management: The C-suite needs to communicate a clearer vision for the company's future. Speed up decision-making processes and invest in more defined career progression paths for your employees, especially in technical and analytical roles.

Okay Work-Life for Data Analysts, but It Varies
Pros: I've mostly had a good experience with work-life balance working remote from home. As a Data Analyst, I can usually hit my targets within a 40-45 hour week. The flexible start and end times really help for my daily schedule.
Cons: It's not always perfect though. During big client report deadlines or major media events, things get crazy. You might pull a few late nights, which can definitely impact personal time for those in the media intelligence industry. Workload planning isn't always smooth.
Advice to Management: Try to smooth out the project loads better. More proactive planning could reduce the super intense crunch times, especially around client reporting.

Okay stability for media intelligence
Pros: The workload for a media analyst is pretty consistent, which helps. You're always busy with media monitoring projects, so that feels secure day-to-day. It's a solid company in the corporate media intelligence space.
Cons: There's not much room for growth, so people often leave for better opportunities, making it feel less secure. I've seen some teams get restructured in the past, so you can't get too comfortable. It's tough working remote when you feel a bit out of the loop on big company decisions.
Advice to Management: Focus on clear career paths for media intelligence professionals and be more transparent about company direction to improve job security perception. This would help with retention.
