Solid remote work for Software Engineers

AvePoint offers decent work flexibility, especially if you're in a remote-friendly role like a Software Engineer. The WFH policy is solid, but global teams mean odd hours sometimes.


Pros

I've been able to work remotely as a Software Engineer, which is a huge plus for my schedule. The WFH setup here at AvePoint, especially for cloud solutions development, really helps with personal life. It's a pretty flexible hybrid model if you're near an office too.


Cons

Sometimes project deadlines can still feel tight, especially with global teams across different time zones. You might find yourself online a bit later or earlier than ideal to sync up, which cuts into that work flexibility. It's not always perfect for deep focus blocks due to varied meeting times.


Advice to Management

Try to improve global team coordination to minimize out-of-hours meetings. Better tools for asynchronous communication could help reduce the need for late-night syncs, improving overall work flexibility for the engineering team.
