Pay is just okay for a big tech company

Working at Swift has its perks, especially with the solid benefits package. However, the base salary for tech roles feels a bit behind industry standards.


Pros

The health benefits package is solid here, that's a definite plus. Dental and vision coverage are pretty good for the tech industry. You're set on that front.


Cons

Base salary for a Junior Software Engineer isn't competitive, especially in the Austin, TX office. Raises feel minimal year-over-year. You'll find better compensation at other big tech companies.


Advice to Management

Seriously review the salary bands for entry-level tech roles. It's getting tough to attract top talent when compensation isn't competitive.

Decent hybrid model, but not fully flexible
