Decent benefits, but pay needs work
Pros: The health insurance is pretty solid here. They offer a good range of plans, which is nice to have options for. For a mid-size company in the water treatment industry, the PTO is also decent; I could actually take a break when I needed one.
Cons: Honestly, the base salary for a Process Engineer isn't super competitive. It feels like they're lagging a bit behind other companies in Boston, even for a hybrid model. There aren't really any performance bonuses or profit sharing, which is a bummer.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the salary bands, especially for engineering roles in the Boston office. Consider adding some form of performance bonus or profit sharing to incentivize employees. Investing more in competitive compensation will help attract and retain top talent in the water treatment industry.

Pay is decent, benefits are just okay
Pros: The base salary for Process Engineer roles is decent; it kept up with the Boston market. Health insurance is solid too, covers most things without huge deductibles. It's a good foundation for a sustainable tech company.
Cons: The 401k match isn't great, and raises are pretty small each year. There aren't many extra perks or bonuses for early-career folks. You feel it in a hybrid model when there aren't many onsite benefits.
Advice to Management: You should really look at improving the 401k match and maybe add some more relevant perks. Especially for your engineers, better incentives could help with retention in the competitive sustainable tech space.

Pay is okay for a growing cleantech company
Pros: The base salary for a Process Engineer isn't bad for the Boston office, especially for a growing cleantech company. They do offer solid health benefits and a decent 401k match that kicks in quickly.
Cons: Raises are pretty small, so don't expect big jumps in your compensation. Bonuses aren't always guaranteed, which can be frustrating. They could definitely improve the parental leave policy.
Advice to Management: Review the annual raise structure to keep up with industry standards and retain talent. Also, look into improving the parental leave package to be more competitive.
