Client Success Manager

Leadership can be a real mixed bag
Pros: I picked up a ton about customer engagement and their MarTech platform. The teams are solid, especially in the Singapore office; people help each other out. Working in a hybrid model means some good flexibility too.
Cons: The leadership team often lacks a clear vision for the company's direction. As a Client Success Manager, it's tough when strategies shift suddenly. There isn't much support for career growth or professional development.
Advice to Management: Management needs to set a clearer path for where we're going. Give middle managers more power and support, and listen to feedback from the ground.

Okay for a bit, but watch out.
Pros: I learned a ton as an Account Manager in this fast-paced startup environment. You get real hands-on experience in the AdTech industry pretty fast. The team in the New York City office is good, solid folks to work with.
Cons: Job security isn't its strong suit, especially for sales roles. There's often restructuring, which can be unsettling. It feels like things can change quickly without much warning.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent with employees about company strategy and changes. It'd help a lot with morale and job security concerns.

Hybrid work is okay for Account Managers
Pros: The hybrid work setup is solid, usually 3 days in the Singapore office. It's good to connect with the team and collaborate on digital marketing solutions. There's some flexibility for personal appointments too, which is helpful.
Cons: True remote options are tough to get, even for client-facing Account Manager roles. Sometimes you feel like you're tied to the office when a virtual meeting would do. It can limit work-life balance a bit.
Advice to Management: Consider allowing more remote flexibility, especially for roles like Account Manager where client interactions can often be virtual. Trust your employees more with how and where they get work done.

Decent tech, but work-life balance struggles
Pros: I learned a ton about the MarTech industry and data analytics. As a Software Engineer, the problems were challenging and the tech stack was modern. Plus, being remote was a huge plus for flexibility.
Cons: Work-life balance is pretty tough here. There's an expectation for long hours, especially around deadlines or new feature launches in this fast-growing company. It can be hard to really disconnect.
Advice to Management: Try to set clearer boundaries for work hours. More realistic project timelines would help prevent burnout among the engineering teams and improve overall work-life balance.

Decent Balance for an Account Manager
Pros: The remote work options are a big plus, which helps a lot with my work-life balance. As an Account Manager, I can usually manage my workload and keep my hours reasonable in the Singapore office.
Cons: It's not always consistent; some clients can be demanding, especially at month-end. You might get pulled into after-hours calls if a big campaign is launching in the ad tech industry.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize client expectations around working hours a bit more. It would really help reduce the feeling of needing to be 'always on' for us Account Managers.

Leadership is a mixed bag for marketers
Pros: Some senior folks are genuinely helpful. I've had good mentorship on new marketing automation strategies, especially in the Singapore office. It's good for learning new e-commerce solutions as a junior specialist.
Cons: But overall, leadership from the very top feels distant. Getting clear direction for big projects can be a struggle for Digital Marketing Specialists. Sometimes, communication just isn't there.
Advice to Management: Work on clearer communication from top management. Try to be more visible and connect with teams. Better strategy for rolling out new marketing automation tools would help everyone.

Junior Data Analyst

Decent flexibility for an ad tech firm
Pros: I liked the hybrid model. We got specific WFH days, which was good for avoiding the commute in Singapore traffic. As a Junior Data Analyst, having that work flexibility really helped my work-life balance. The team was pretty understanding if you needed to shift things around occasionally.
Cons: Sometimes it felt like WFH was only for certain roles, not universally applied. The 'flexibility' could feel a bit rigid with set days, not true freedom. It wasn't always easy to get projects done if key people weren't in the office on your WFH day. Also, the tools for remote collaboration sometimes lagged.
Advice to Management: Revisit the hybrid policy to allow more genuine flexibility, not just fixed WFH days. Improve remote collaboration tools and ensure projects can progress smoothly regardless of who is physically in the Singapore office. Invest more in clear career paths for junior roles.

Decent place, but work-life can be a juggle.
Pros: As a Software Engineer, the remote work flexibility is really good. You don't have to be tied to an office, which is a huge plus for personal appointments. They've got a solid team, and the digital marketing platform we build is pretty interesting.
Cons: Work-life balance here is often tough, especially during release cycles. It's not uncommon to put in 50+ hour weeks for engineering roles. Sometimes you feel like you're always on, even with remote work, because expectations are high.
Advice to Management: Management should really look at how to better manage project scope and timelines to avoid burnout for their engineering teams. Better resource planning would help balance workloads.
