Pros: The benefits package is solid for a global logistics firm. You learn a ton about the supply chain, which is great experience for entry-level freight forwarding roles. The job security is also pretty decent.
Cons: Leadership in the Atlanta office can be inconsistent; some managers are great, others not so much. There's not always clear communication from upper management, especially regarding new initiatives or changes. It feels like they don't always listen to the ground-level teams.
Advice to Management: Spend more time understanding the day-to-day challenges faced by teams like logistics coordinators. Improve transparency and communication from the top down. Invest in leadership training for all levels of management to ensure consistency.

Pros: My direct manager was usually solid, especially for an Operations Specialist. They genuinely tried to support us with the daily freight forwarding challenges and complex cargo operations. For a big global company, there are decent resources if you know how to find them.
Cons: Upper leadership often felt out of touch with the daily grind in our Chicago office. They don't always understand the operational pressures in the logistics industry. Decisions sometimes come down without clear reasoning, making it tough for frontline teams.
Advice to Management: Focus on bridging the gap between corporate decisions and ground-level operations. More transparent communication and understanding of the daily workflow for freight forwarding teams would help a lot. Invest in leadership training for middle managers too.
