Okay Flexibility for Hotel Operations
Pros: They try to accommodate schedule requests when they can. This is helpful as a Front Desk Agent. You can swap shifts with coworkers if you need to. It's not totally rigid for hospitality roles.
Cons: Last-minute changes still happen often. It can mess with your plans outside of work. Getting full weekends off is a real challenge, especially if you're not senior enough.
Advice to Management: Try to reduce last-minute schedule changes. It really impacts employee morale. More predictable scheduling would be a huge plus.

Solid Job Security for Front Desk Roles
Pros: Job security here is pretty good for onsite roles like a Front Desk Agent. There's always a need for staff in the hospitality industry, so I never worried about layoffs. Benefits like discounted hotel stays were a nice perk.
Cons: Work-life balance can be tough with fixed shifts, especially during peak tourist seasons in Orlando. Career growth paths aren't always super clear unless you actively push for management roles. The pay is okay, but not amazing for the effort.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more clear paths for career progression for dedicated front-line team members. Also, look into better staffing during peak times to help with work-life balance for all the onsite staff.

Okay flexibility for corporate, tough for hotels
Pros: For corporate roles like mine in the Dallas office, there's a decent hybrid work model. I get to work from home a couple of days a week which helps with my commute. It's a solid perk for Revenue Manager roles.
Cons: However, true work flexibility isn't common for everyone in this global hospitality brand, especially those in hotel operations roles. Onsite demands are still pretty high. It's tough to adjust schedules much if you're not corporate.
Advice to Management: Try to extend more flexible policies to the hotel-level teams too. It'd really help with retention in the hospitality industry.
