Work-life Balance is a Mixed Bag Here
Pros: The hybrid work model is a huge plus here in Atlanta, giving some flexibility for remote days. For a Logistics Coordinator, the 40-hour week is often respected, which is good for family time. It's a solid company if you like the fast pace of supply chain management.
Cons: When things get busy, especially with international shipments in freight forwarding, those 40-hour weeks can easily stretch. There's pressure to respond quickly to client needs, which sometimes means checking emails after hours. Work-life balance here can feel tough during peak seasons, especially for those supporting global time zones.

Solid Logistics Experience, Low Flexibility
Pros: I've gotten some really good experience in freight forwarding and overall logistics operations. There's a decent path for career growth if you're willing to stick it out within this global logistics company. Plus, the teams are generally pretty collaborative.
Cons: The work flexibility is pretty much non-existent for my role. We're strictly onsite work for Logistics Coordinator roles, so no hybrid model or remote options at all. It's tough to manage personal appointments, and the standard 8-5 often stretches later. It feels like a very traditional corporate environment.
Advice to Management: Management should seriously look into implementing a hybrid model or at least more flexible hours. Even one or two remote days a week would make a huge difference for people in logistics roles. It would really help with morale and keeping good talent.

Pay's okay, benefits are pretty standard
Pros: The healthcare benefits package is solid; it's a big plus. As a Logistics Coordinator, the starting salary isn't too bad. You get that stability working for a large corporate.
Cons: Raises don't really keep up with inflation, you know? For experienced freight forwarding roles, I feel like the compensation is a bit low for the Chicago area. It's tough to negotiate a higher base salary once you're in.
Advice to Management: I think management should seriously look into improving the compensation structure. Especially for experienced logistics professionals, more competitive pay would definitely help with retention against other global logistics providers.
