Hybrid Model Works, But Onsite Days Fixed
Pros: I've enjoyed the hybrid model, getting two days WFH a week. It helps a lot as a Financial Analyst managing personal appointments. For a global financial institution, they do try to offer some work-life balance.
Cons: The onsite requirements are pretty strict. We have to be in the New York City office three days, no exceptions. It's tough when you have an urgent personal matter and can't just swap a day. The 'work_flexibility' isn't really flexible beyond the fixed hybrid schedule.
Advice to Management: Consider more flexible options for the mandated onsite days. Sometimes life happens, and a little wiggle room would go a long way for employee morale, especially for busy finance professionals.

Hybrid model is okay, but could be better.
Pros: I liked having some WFH days; typically three days in the office, two remote. This hybrid model was a solid perk for saving commute time in the city. For a big corporate environment like Citi, it's a step in the right direction for flexibility.
Cons: The 'flexibility' really depends on your manager and team, which isn't ideal. Some teams were strictly 4 days onsite, while others were more chill. It wasn't always consistent across the financial services division.
Advice to Management: Standardize the hybrid policy more across teams and be clearer about expectations. Less reliance on individual manager discretion would help a lot with consistency.

Okay culture, really depends on your team here
Pros: I liked working with diverse teams across the financial services industry. There's a lot of opportunity to learn, especially in corporate banking. Plus, the hybrid work model is a definite perk for work-life balance.
Cons: The company culture in the New York City office can sometimes feel too corporate and stiff. As an Associate Software Engineer, there's not always much room for innovative thinking or quick changes. It feels like a huge corporate environment.
Advice to Management: Try to encourage more autonomy and creativity within engineering teams. Break down some of the bureaucracy that stifles new ideas, especially for junior roles.
