Job Security is a bit of a mixed bag
Working at Sabre as a Software Engineer in the Southlake, TX office, I've seen some ups and downs with job stability. It's a big company in the travel technology space, so it feels stable sometimes, but there are definitely yearly concerns.
It's a huge player in the airline industry, so it's not going anywhere soon. For core tech roles, if you're good, you usually feel pretty secure. There's always work to do, especially with maintaining the global distribution system (GDS).
The company does have annual layoffs, which makes job security tough for many. There's often talk of restructuring, so you can't get too comfortable. It's an issue remote and onsite employees worry about.
Be more transparent about future plans and try to minimize the annual layoff cycle. It really affects morale across the travel technology teams.
