Solid Job Security for Production Engineers Here
Pros: You generally don't worry about getting laid off at this mid-sized company. Even during tough times, they tried to keep manufacturing roles stable. Regular paychecks always came on time, which is a big deal for job security.
Cons: Promotions can be slow, which sometimes makes you feel stuck, even if your job is safe. The onsite work arrangement means less flexibility, and sometimes you wonder about career growth beyond your current Production Engineer duties.
Advice to Management: Focus more on clear career paths for industrial engineering staff. Knowing there's growth beyond just security would really help retention. Also, consider some hybrid options for roles where WFH is feasible to boost morale.

Okay Place, But Career Growth is Slow
Pros: You do get a lot of hands-on experience, especially useful for entry-level roles in industrial manufacturing. As a Production Supervisor, I learned a lot about day-to-day operations on the production floor. The team in the Kuala Lumpur office is generally supportive.
Cons: It's tough to move up here. There aren't many clear paths for promotion, even after several years. For mid-career professionals, internal mobility in this mid-sized corporate really isn't a strong point.
Advice to Management: Create more structured career development plans. Show employees what it takes to get to the next level in industrial manufacturing. Invest in training for growth roles.
