Construction Engineer
2.7
23 January 2026
Pay is alright, benefits are a bit weak.
Pros: The base salary for a Construction Engineer is decent for the Kuala Lumpur construction sector. You get your paycheck on time, which is always good. There's usually an annual bonus too, around a month or two of pay, which helps.
Cons: The benefits package is pretty basic, to be honest. Health insurance coverage isn't very comprehensive. For a medium-sized corporate entity in the precast concrete industry, I feel like they could offer more perks. Things like better dental or wellness programs are missing.
Advice to Management: Management should seriously look into improving the benefits package. Offering more robust health insurance and additional employee perks would make Lsk Precast Builder Sdn Bhd more competitive for talent in the construction industry.

Production Supervisor

Leadership could be clearer, otherwise it's okay
Pros: You learn a lot about precast concrete production here. My immediate team in the Kuala Lumpur office is really solid. There's decent job security within the construction industry.
Cons: Leadership can be quite hands-off. You don't get much direction for Production Supervisor roles. It's tough to get clear career paths or consistent feedback. Sometimes project timelines feel unrealistic due to poor planning from higher-ups.
Advice to Management: Focus on more proactive communication. Give Production Supervisors clear goals and consistent feedback. Better project planning would really help the onsite teams.

Project Coordinator

Solid, but old-school construction company
Pros: The team in the Kuala Lumpur office is generally supportive. I learned a ton about the precast concrete process. It's a stable mid-sized construction company, so job security felt decent.
Cons: The company culture is really traditional. There isn't much room for new ideas, especially for Project Coordinator roles. Work-life balance can be tough with long onsite hours, and flexibility is almost non-existent.
Advice to Management: Try to be more open to modern practices and employee feedback. A more flexible approach, even for onsite roles, could really boost morale.
